Walk A Thon

Abi and Tal cruise through the laps.
Great efforts deserve great prizes.
Abi and Tal participated in the Walk A Thon for her school to help raise money for new playground equipment. She solicited pledges from grandparents and her aunt as well as mom and dad to support her. Each lap was 1/4 mile and they had 1 hour to walk it in. She set a goal to walk 6 laps. Well she blew that one out of the water by walking 15 laps or just under 4 miles. Tal also walked 13 laps or just over 3 miles. Mom was stunned and very proud. After they ran the first 3 laps I knew they were going for the gold. All in all, Abi raised $40 for her school.
Go Beans!!!!!

It looks good! Learning how to do it really is a matter of trial and error. It is something I could show you, but explaining it is impossible. Anywhooooo. Way to go! Keep it up.

Your background is so cute! What great posts - you guys are sooo busy. It's completely understandable as to why you wouldn't have time to blog! You did such a great job on your quilt, bumpers, and blanket - I'm green with envy of your talent. Way to go! You're a great mom!

I have a current reading list on the right side of my page. I am re-reading all of Jane Austen's works right now. Kind of at a slow pace. That is totally clean ;). I am also finishing a series by Stephen King--not clean so stay away from that one! I also recently read Cry the Beloved Country. It was very good. The Alchemist was good too. Have you read much of Shannon Hale? She is good...more young adult. The Goosegirl by her is really cute. Also, Laddie - A True Blue Story by Gene Stratton Porter (sp?) is excellant. Very cute! Anywho. Happy reading.
