Summer mornings you will find us at the pool for our swimming lessons. Eva and I took a Mom and Me class. She mostly enjoyed it. Depending on the day she would float on front and back, splash her arms, and kick her legs. Sometimes she would blow bubbles with me. And once we dunked under the water, she DIDN'T like that. Aunt Sarah and cousin Daphne took the class with us, so it was fun to have a friend.
Leah took two sessions of swimming lessons and practiced as an Eel. She bobbed about blowing bubbles, practicing kicks and arm strokes. Her favorite parts were jumping in the pool from the side and going down the big slide with her life jacket on.
Abi and Talmage swam on the Summer Swim Team. They practiced 3 mornings a week for 6 weeks and had 2 meets. They both improved greatly in their strokes and endurance. And I think they had a little fun along the way.
This is Abi diving in for her leg of a relay. Abi's favorite stroke to swim is the Butterfly but she is the fastest at Freestyle. These are the results from their final Swim Meet:
50 yard Freestyle - 51.29
100 yard Breaststroke - 2.46.81
100 yard Backstroke - 2.19.17
After Tal was done with his last race he cheered them on. Tal's favorite stroke to swim is Freestyle but all of his strokes have improved a lot.
25 yard Freestyle - 28.9 sec
25 yard Butterfly - 36.43 sec
50 yard Backstroke - 1.13.34 min.sec
